Being a self-funded boutique anime shop, building ourselves up from the bootstraps. we only have so much liquid capital available, so each pick for the shop every month is as personal, exciting, and satisfying as building our own personal collection. Of course, the goal is to expand into as many anime as possible, which, of course, sparks our interest. For October, our picks expand from Dragon Ball to Yu-Gi-Oh, Ichiban to Kotobukiya, also some prize figures are included.

Dragon Ball Z Son Goku and Son Gohan Spectacle Battle Ichibansho Statue

Already Landed, this figure is based of a legendary photo from when I was a kid, seeing it in a physical 3d manifestation is mind-blowing. Finding the source photo is a hassle in itself due to google chopping the image search engine. This photo was in rotation on the playground for 50 cent in color and 15 to 25 cent in black n white (size, quality, and color mattered lol)

Katekyo Hitman Reborn! Tsunayoshi Sawada Grandista Statue

Y'all already know how I feel about Reborn! at this point. From my previous blog post about the renaissance that is happening with the series, but if you haven't, the link is available here. Once I saw that the figure popped up for pre-order it had to be purchased, and now it's finally coming to the west!

Hunter x Hunter Knuckle Vibration Stars Statue

Bleeding over from last month's haul, Knuckle (hopefully) finally makes his appearance. Never had/ seen a knuckle figure, of course, the ichiban dropped, but it wasn't in a dramatic action stance or was released in America, that I know of. Finally having something is a plus, and he'll be more affordable and available being a prize figure this time around.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters Katsuya Jonouchi (Joey Wheeler) Passionate Duelists ArtFX J 1:7 Scale Statue

Wanted to deepen the Yu-Gi-Oh bag with this one, Plus Joey always been a dawg. Kinda got snubbed by Marik like the Vegeta's and Yamamoto's of the series mostly do, but my man deserves respect. Unfortunately, we (normal folk) don't get the alternative Joey Chin meme head swap. That was inspired by Japanese wrestler Antonio Inoki, stemming from a headcanon that Joey would be a wrestling fan. But either way the figure is still dope.

Secret restock! Everyone's favorite bad boy

My Hero Academia Katsuki Bakugo A Story Reaching Out Forever Ichibansho Masterlise Statue

My Hero was great and ended pretty good even crossing all T's and dotting all I's. This one moved faster than I imagined, so when allocations opened back up, why not. This one balloned the budget a little bit with the knuckles pour over but that's just an indication of growth.

Bleach - Kurotsuchi Nemu - Glitter & Glamours (Bandai Spirits)

Side quest item acquired. All the allocations were gone but through the grapevine, I was able to get my hands on her, Kurotsuchi Nemu! The most devoted Lieutenant (Vice-Captain). This Glitter & Glamours is gorgeous,  I'm happy Bleach is getting more figures besides just Ichigo, Rukia, and Renji. Been a long time coming but we're finally here!
